Register for the Ducks Unlimited Canada’s contest and submit your favorite pattern or an original design. Be inspired by the amazing colors found in your favorite waterfowl species. 

Use your imagination and best tying skills in the Fly & Fowl category to create a dry, wet, streamer, popper or saltwater fly.   Youth, 12 and under will be awarded in a special youth category.   ALL FLIES MUST BE WORKING FLIES. 

The top 10 selected winners will have their flies showcased on ducks.ca where public voting will name the 2022, Ducks Unlimited Canada Fly of the Year and winner of our grand prize.
  
This contest is open to all levels of fly tyers.

The categories are:

Tyer’s Choice -submit your best dry fly, wet fly, streamer, popper or saltwater fly based on your own original creation or your favourite existing pattern – your choice!

 (Open to Canadian residents)

Fly and Fowl – submit your best original waterfowl-themed fly. Use the colours of your favourite dabbler, diver, goose or gander to inspire your pattern.

Youth – ages 12 and under can submit their choice of fly for a chance to win their own category prizes.

International – searching for one ultimate fly from either category
 (Open to non-Canadian Residents)
