Facebook scammers have been busy targeting popular fishing electronic groups, with fishing electronics getting harder to find on retailer shelves. Chad Smith from the Humminbird Mega Live Imaging group shows us home many posts these scammers do daily.
Scammers use all kinds of techniques to convince you that they are legitimate. Fake profiles and ads are getting harder to identify every year. Remember, sometimes the scammer might not be after your money but just information about you that they can use later. Unless you meet these people in person and check the electronics before purchase, you can assume it is a scam.
Your only safe purchase is from an authorized dealer where you know what you are buying. Even if you get lousy customer support, at least you should be able to force a refund on your credit card if it is not as advertised.
